Bryan ISD will offer the Two-Way Dual Language Program at Johnson Elementary and Henderson Elementary in 2013-2014. This program is offered by application only to incoming kindergarten students who reside within all Bryan ISD elementary attendance zones. Entrance requirements must be satisfied, including testing, for acceptance into the program.
Johnson uses a 90-10 instructional model, in which 90% of student instruction is delivered in Spanish at the younger grades, regardless of the student's native language. Henderson uses a 50-50 instructional model, in which 50% of instruction is delivered in English and 50% is delivered in Spanish. Students receive reading instruction in their native language.
Both campuses will host a parent information meeting for interested families. Please join us at one of these meetings to find out more information about the Two-Way Dual Language Programs offered in Bryan ISD.
